“Kul jou hier. Kul jou daar… en siedaar!” Firstly, if you remember that line, then you’ve just given away your age. Secondly, I do love me a good magic movie; The Prestige, The Illusionist, etcI also happen to really love a good heist movie as well. And with the amount of clever misdirection that they both employ, it’s a little surprising that it’s taken this long for somebody to combine the two. But now we have Now You See Me, and while you were busy watching the pretty lady in the skimpy outfit, it’s made a stylish new poster and couple new pics appear.

“Now You See Me” pits an elite FBI squad in a game of cat and mouse against “The Four Horsemen,” a super-team of the world’s greatest illusionists. “The Four Horsemen” pull off a series of daring heists against corrupt business leaders during their performances, showering the stolen profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law.

Now I don’t know about you guys, but having Morgan Freeman on your team of illusionists seems a bit like cheating, what with him being God and all. Unfair advantages of a biblical scale aside, director Louis Letterier (Trasnporter 1 & 2, The Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans) has assembled quite the nice cast for this, let’s just hope that he’s up to the task. This film seems to rely on a lot more brains than any of his previous brawn heavy titles, so let’s just hope he can pull this rabbit out of the hat.

Now You See Me stars Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelson, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Caine and Common and will be appearing in cinemas in a puff of smoke on May 31, 2013.
