What’s that? Your doctor said that you’re low on testosterone and you need a liquid diet of Baysplosion inside of you before you become addicted to hipster documentary films about Pabst Blue Ribbon beer? Actually, that was for me, but I’m more than happy to share the prescription of Stalloneroids that I’ve been prescribed for upcoming movies The Expendables 3 and The Escape.
Lionsgate has confirmed that the third Expendables film will be out next year August 15, while the other Stallone and Schwarzenegger flick, Escape Plan, will be out a little later from it’s September release date. That prison break film will be release on October 13 this year, which puts it into conflict with upcoming box office rivals Carrie, Don John and Seventh Son.
But the current date for the third Expendables means that that movie needs to start filming soon if it wants to make it. While Stallone, Jason Statham, Terry Crews and Mickey Rourke are already a concrete possibility for a return, it’s the addition of Nicolas Cage and possibly Milla Jovovich and Jackie Chan that excites me the most. That, and I’m hoping that director Patrick Hughes has inked a deal with The Raid star, Iko Uwais.
As for these dates, remember, they’re for North American audiences so add a week or two on top of them and they should apply to us as well.
