Horror movies, some love them (if you do enter our Jessabelle competition we still have a few tickets remaining for 2 December in both Cape Town and Johannesburg), others like Trevor hate them because they can’t afford new trousers. I, on the other hand, enjoy a good scare and also have an amply supply of washing detergent.
Adding to this year’s list of horror movies is Pyramid, a movie from producer Alexandre Aja and director Gregory Levasseur, who both brought you The Hills Have Eyes. This time round we aren’t running mindlessly around a red-neck desert, but rather we’re running around in a labyrinth located in a pyramid in the desert… Because why the heck not? It looks like mummies are one the menu only this time you won’t have Brendan Fraser helping you out.

It looks like some generic horror fun. I will probably go see this and would suggest that if you are claustrophobic you don’t. The film stars Ashley Hinshaw, James Buckley, Denis O’Hare, Christa-Marie Nicola and Amir K as the human bait. I expect one of them will survive, but in some horrific manner. It’s due out 5 December.
