This trailer for SURVIVOR is an extraordinary asset

Oh that Pierce Brosnan. Having joined the “old action stars kicking ass” club, his first outing in the November Man film last year wasn’t exactly top-quality stuff. But the former 007 has clearly gotten a taste for the genre. So much so, that he’s even switching sides as he attempts to give Milla Jovovich a multi-pass to the afterlife.

After being mysteriously framed for a terrorist bombing, a Foreign Service Officer (Milla Jovovich) must evade government capture and death by a ruthless assassin (Pierce Brosnan) in order to stop the real perpetrators’ master—and much deadlier—plan. SURVIVOR is directed by James McTeigue and also stars Dylan McDermott, Angela Bassett and Robert Forster.

That actually doesn’t look half-bad at all. Seeing Brosnan as a tight-lipped black hat villain for once is refreshing, and director James McTeigue certainly knows how to frame an action scene or two based on his previous work. And an esmeble cast that includes Dylan McDermott, Angela Bassett, Robert Forster, and James D’Arcy gives the movie some decent acting pedigree. I’m not expecting John Wick levels of surprising action here, but you could do much worse for a quick afternoon action flick.

Survivor will be assembling a hit in movie houses and VOD from May 29.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
