Torchlight 2 Announced: Co-Op Here We Come

I only started playing Torchlight fairly recently, and if there is one thing it does very, very well… it’s that it makes for one heck of a Diablo replacement while we wait for Diablo III to arrive in 2011.

One of the biggest missing features is undoubtedly the lack of co-operative multiplayer, which was simply one of the biggest reasons that the Diablo series was so appealing. That’s all about to change now that Runic has announced a sequel packed with extra features.

More info after the jump.

Aside from co-op play, Torchlight 2 will also have some nifty new additions in the form of randomly generated dungeons (another feature that made Diablo so incredibly re-playable), more pets, a World of Warcraft-like set of customisation options and will now even support mods.

According to the official Torchlight 2 website, the game will be out in the U.S’s Spring 2011 which isn’t exactly around the corner, but you can be sure that they are going to do everything in their power to make sure that it arrives before Diablo III does.

I also only recently picked it up, really need to finish it now, my only gripe was that I just that felt I couldn’t upgrade my gear fast enough took forever to find an item worth while
