Paul Feig’s all-lady team of Ghostbusters, is officially a thing. Whether the film turns out to be comedy gold or another reboot that is destined to be forgotten, is up in the air. But hey, at least they can nail the look of the original with a modern day setting, right?
Ghostbustin’ not only makes me feel good, but it also needs to make you look good. Feig posted a first look at the Ghostbuster’s new uniforms on Twitter. Check ’em out:
That’s a pretty faithful look right there. I’ve done some ghostbusting myself, with a uniform that is pretty similar. The original work coveralls were essentially military-grade flightsuits and boots, chemical gloves and a combat belt. The uniforms above, pretty much match that, with the exception here being that the coveralls are more municipal in design.
A functional homage. I like it! The big question however, will be the actual Ghostbusting equipment. The signature Proton Pack. Will Feig keep the same design for the reboot, or will we see something far more technologically advanced? I kinda hope not. I put a ton of work into my own Proton Pack and I don’t feel like making another one.
Ghostbusters is out next year, and stars Kristen Wigg, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth. Here’s a link for more plot details.
