Anthem and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice lead the E3 2018 Game Critic Awards

Even though nobody attended the illustrious Critical Hit E3 2018 Awards show which was held live this year in my kitchen (Plenty sure I can seat 2000 people inside mom), it was still a night of glory, valour and drama when it was revealed that La La Land was the best game of the show instead of Cyberpunk 2077. Hey, accidents happen.

Anyway, if you missed the best show of the year detailing E3’s biggest winners, then fret not! You can catch up with the second-best prize giving event in the form of the E3 2018 Game Critics Award. What’s the difference between our shows? Well the primary difference here would be that the Critical Hit awards are overseen by a group of barely trained chimpanzees whereas the Game Critic Awards involves around fifty other publications pooling their best of thoughts together.

Honestly though, who do you trust more? Your local poop-flinging writers, or people who wouldn’t even stand up to party party party when Andrew WK was on stage for the Bethesda press conference this year? Check and mate, people who wouldn’t let us into their exclusive club. Which games won the biggest kudos from the No-Critical-Hit-Members-Allowed Club? Plenty!

To be valid for selection, games had to be available in a playable form this year which is why you won’t see Cyberpunk 2077 anywhere on the list due to the version that was shown off behind closed doors being a pre-Alpha build. The games which did qualify and wow audiences, were titles such as Anthem (five nominations), Spider-Man (three nominations) and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (four nominations).
