Assassin’s Creed 3 has been stolen from three countries

Hoo boy. We know that some people are looking forward to the patched up version of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 3, but not to this extent. A truck headed for several European countries has been hijacked, and inside of it, were basically every single hard copy of that game. Looks like the AC3 PC release date is going to be a bleak one.

Criminal masterminds, possibly from Activision (Citation needed), made off with copies of the game that were bound for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, according to a report by Dutch Industry site EB, on November 14 already.

Ubisoft says that while the theft won’t delay the launch of the vanilla edition of the game, although anyone who preordered a “Join or Die” version of it, that included a medallion and a notebook, are straight out of luck as it can’t be re-manufactured.

Ubisoft isn’t standing idly by however, and have released the barcode numbers to the authorities and retailers, in order to blacklist anyone who attempts to use a game with those authentication codes.

Still, not like that will stop opportunistic thieves with internet access. Keep an eye out if you’re in Europe though. You might come across some strange trenchcoated man that wants to know if you’d be interested in buying some Assassin’s Creed off of him.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
