Batman: Arkham Knight screens reunite the old gang

2 min read

Once more in the face, with feeling. Right now, I consider Arkham Origins to be the Assassin’s Creed 3 of the Batman series. Fortunately, daddy has come back, and Rocksteady is ready to finish their work off on the Dark Knight with a third effort. And hot damn, the new-gen only title looks dead sexy.

Here’s a bunch of new screenshots from AGB, showing off action, anarchy and something else that probably starts with an A. I’m loving the new batsuit, I’m happy that we finally get to see Oracle in her watchtower and we need to get the Stig behind the wheel of the new Batmobile, pronto. I’m still trying to figure out how the third entry wraps up the storyline started in Arkham Asylum that conclusively ended in Arkham City. Two excellent games, two excellent storylines that provided the necessary exposition for fisticuffs.

Still, Arkham City did leave a few dangling threads. My detailed analysis? Expect Azrael to play a larger part in Arkham Knight. He was present in Arkham City, in a series of mystery events and as a vigilante knight of St Dumas, he could easily be the hood under that mask.

As much as I like the idea of the Arkham Knight being a completely original character, I’d gladly bet the remaining nights of sleep that Geoff has left that he happens to be a face that ties into the Rocksteady trilogy.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
