Battlefield 1943

EA have announced that Battlefield 1943 has become the fastest downloadable arcade title to reach a million units with this fete occurring just 8 months after it’s release.

Obviously most of us are now surprised that people are still playing this game but it is one of the highest rated XBLA titles and still consistently places near the top of the Arcade charts.

What’s strange however is that EA are still claiming the missing PC version is still on it’s way and will be available soon. Seriously I think it has now missed the boat and I really can’t see that many PC players picking it up a year after the consoles received it.

Agreed. It would have been a great buildup to BF:BC2 but now that everyone is engrossed in BF:BC2 any kind of release will not work out 🙂

I agree as well, it’s definitely a lost opportunity for EA, however I wouldn’t be surprised if a meatier version (with more maps) lands PC-side and we find ourselves commenting about how neglected the console version has become.
