Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel looks better in third-person

I never really understood the need for skins in Borderlands 2. Sure they’re fun to show off to friends when you’re rolling around Pandora in co-op, but it’s pretty said that you’re stuck in first-person and can never see your kicks attire for yourself. That’s why the third-person mod was so popular back then, and now it’s back.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel launched just last week, and the famous third-person mod is already available for download. The mod changes your perspective when you’re not aiming down the sights, drawing back the mare so you can see your Handsome Jack bodyguard in all their glory. When you want to aim you snap back into first-person, which is just a little bit jarring at first.

But it does look like Borderlands would work with the feature being a supported option, no? It makes hip firing a bit more difficult, but I actually like the third-person perspective a little better. It also gives you a better view of what’s going on around you, which is pretty helpful in those chaotic four-player skirmishes.

If you’re busy exploring Pandora’s moon and want a better view, then the mod can be downloaded here. Unlike the one for Borderlands 2, this mod doesn’t require a standalone program running in the background. Just download, follow the instructions and you’ll be drooling over ClapTrap’s behind in no time.

Or any of the other three characters. I’m trying not to pick sides.

  1. Third person Borderlands. Hmmm. It’s definitely more of a console thing, which is probably what they want to appeal to, but I don’t think it’s a bad thing. Could be quite cool.

finished my first playthrough last night.
    was fun.

cant say id have enjoyed 3rd person any better though, sure, its more RPGish, and would be fine for athena and the lawbringer, who you cant aim down sights when using your ability.
But it doesnt look right, character animations are really limited, id get bored of it fast.

Im at 25 or 26 atm, first playthroughs in the rpevious games were at 30 or 35, cant remember.
although getting to the cap on early playthroughs is tough, by the time you hit 28, you’ll be getting 1xp for the biggest of baddies.
and theres not a hundred extra hours of DLC to level up on.

the games no where near as long as the previous games.

getting solid sit down time makes a big difference and Ive put in ALOT of hours into the previous games, so Im a bit quicker than most. a single playhthrough should take about 20 hours for this one, including all the side missions, but no real farming and no particular rush.
I put in 32 hours a piece for a complete first playthrough on the previous games.

that and it feels like you level faster.

Athenas sheild is super OP. 100% damage block from the front.

Man, I wish I had gotta onto the Borderlands bandwagon when they were first released.

Go The Pre-sequel and I’m loving it, dat art style! I’m just torn if I should put it down and play Borderlands 2 first (got it free from PSN, haven’t played it yet.)

I completely overplayed Borderlands 1 (yes, it’s possible). I loved that game so much. Only going to try 2 now.

its never too late to get on the borderlands train.
      the game has aged magificently.
play borderlands 1, get invested man, you wont regret.

no idea how it is on console though, i know some people swear by the xbox controller for this game, all my reviewers play on PC, but play with a controller, so who knows, could be good.

Be warned, it’s easily more addictive than Destiny. All the different classes actually differs a lot from each other.

It’s amazing that Lohan hasn’t sued for the use of the word Claptrap yet.
