I-NEED-MORE-POWER

Deep breath. Get ready, and shout it out loud with me: I NEED MORE POWER! POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWER!

It’s official: Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition has picked the very worst possible date to launch this year. Because some genius at Capcom thought it’d be a great idea to release the game on June 23, the same day as Batman: Arkham Knight. OY VEY! Here’s a new trailer for the game, running at the rather sweet spot of 1080p at 60 of those glistening frames per second, making the 2008 game look up to scratch on current hardware:

If you haven’t been keeping up, Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition is the entire game, plus extras. Players get the chance to play as either Vergil, Lady, Trish, Nero or Dante, plus there’s a ton of new modes on offer. According to my top secret sources, this could also be the last time we see a Devil May Cry game from Capcom, for quite a while. Apparently, the series will be getting overhauled, with a western studio stepping in to breathe some new life into the franchise. According to these sources, a younger Dante will feature, with more attitude and less white hair as his story is retold. Sounds like a blast.

My sources have also informed me of a new Nintendo home console that is certain to take the world by storm and will sell millions upon millions of units and will in no way be a massive flop whatsoever, but that’s a scoop for later today. Stay tuned to Lazygamer, for the latest in breaking news from 2009.
