[Update]: Fallout 4 will be set in Boston, and has its first piece of concept art below. Original story as follows. It’s happened! Ahead of the official trailer reveal which is taking place at 16:00 today, Bethesda has officially confirmed that Fallout 4 is the next entry in the long running franchise of post-apocalyptic RPG goodness.
The teaser website which went live yesterday has now been updated (although it’s offline now) – showing off box art and platforms for the title. Despite some earlier rumours today, Fallout 4 will be a current-gen exclusive – meaning it’s only coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
It has now also been confirmed that Fallout 4 will be set in Boston. The first bit of concept art for the game has fallen through the cracks, with a specific reference to Scollay Square above Memory Den. A square which was a vibrant city square in downtown Boston, Massachusetts until 1962.
There’s is currently also a video player uploaded to the teaser website, which should go live this afternoon with the first trailer (It’s live!). Bethesda is also expected to show off the game during their very own press conference at E3 in two weeks time. But for now, let’s all just be happy that it’s indeed the sequel we’ve all been waiting years for.
