This is a question we’ve actually asked before, but it was years ago, and we had a much smaller community then. With the release of a brand new wave of consoles though, the question is once again pertinent.
Xbox fanboys attack anything Sony does; Sony fanboys keep bringing up things like “price” and “Kinect” and “Privacy”; PC fanboys harp on about resolution and how underpowered consoles are.
But it extends further than that; Rockstar’s fanboys will convince you that every game the company makes is pure gold; Battlefield Fanboys will harp on about Call of Duty being copied and pasted despite the fact that the same thing is largely happening with their favoured shooting game.
Don’t even get me started on Apple fanboys, who believe god once lived in Cupertino or even worse, Android fanboys who’ll berate you for being a sheep sheep and buying in to an ecosystem when they’re doing the exact same thing. For reasons I’m, not quite capable of explaining, people swear blind fealty to corporates who really don’t give a damn about them and really only want their money.
But which of those groups are the most vociferous and salty? My money’s on Nintendo fanboys. They’re all quiet and pensive right now..but they’re just waiting for the right moment to strike.
