There are so many things that intrigue me about Final Fantasy XV. I want to know more about the world, but I’m mainly interested in the characters and story at this point. Is Noctis more than just a spoiled, wimpy prince? Who are his companions and why should I care about them? And what about Luna? How does she fit into everything? Well, thanks to a new trailer from Tokyo Games Show, we have some more details on the story and characters. While I doubt that they have revealed everything there is to know, I can’t help feeling like there are some spoilers hidden in there, so if you want to go into the experience fresh, you might not want to click play.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times – Final Fantasy always pushes the boundaries of what we can expect on a given gaming platform. I remember being blown away by the visuals when we made the jump to SNES, PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3. But this one blows all of those away. The uncanny valley seems to be a thing of the past as pretty much all the characters look lifelike and just so damn real! I know this is all CGI stuff, and it’s way easier to make a pre-made trailer look nice than the actual gameplay, but I’m still so impressed. Of course this will be the best looking Final Fantasy game we’ve seen to date, but I’m also hopeful that this will be the best experience a Final Fantasy game has offered in several iterations. With some cool characters, intriguing themes and unique world to explore, I’m beginning to get far too excited to get my hands on this. Don’t let me down, Square Enix!
