Battlefield 4 had a pretty tight schedule when it came to DLC. The last bit of content was called Final Stand, and from what I understood, it was meant to send Battlefield 4 out with a bang before its cops-and-robbers sibling arrives sometime next year. That doesn’t seem to be the case though. Apparently Dice don’t understand the meaning behind the word “final”.
That’s right, it appears that more content is on the way according to Battlelog.
With Battlefield 4 Final Stand released, we hope and believe that you will enjoy it together with the rest of the game for a long time. However, there is one thing we want to assure you: there is more content coming for Battlefield 4.
We will share details on exactly what this new content will be, and when it will arrive, in the near future. We understand that this may lead to even more questions about our plans, but rest assured that we’ll get back to you on the future of Battlefield 4 when the time is right.
I have never really had a problem with the DLC that Battlefield brings to the table. It does tend to segment the community, at least for a short while, but the additional content is normally quite good. Are Dice looking to milk the community here?
I don’t think they wouldn’t jump at the opportunity, but keep in mind that Hardline was delayed. I think Dice are just looking to keep their players happy… at least until the bank robbing simulator it is released in March next year.
Anyways, you’ll somewhat get to dictate what content you get. Dice have set up a poll which lets players vote for classic maps they’d like to see recreated or ported over to Battlefield 4. If you’re a fan, be sure to head on over and place your votes.
Does it make you happy knowing that there is still extra content on the way? I think it’s important… not everybody may enjoy the angle Hardlines is aiming for.

To be fair, Dice are far from the worst offenders when it comes to not understanding the meaning of the word “final”.

Noshar all the way, BF4 needs a tdm map like that, it was pretty much the only map most people people played on BF3 for tdm

It should work but I don’t have a quad core.
I’m going to try my laptop but I somehow doubt the graphics card is quite up to scratch.

YAY!!! If the extra content is “free” for premium users, then no, they are not trying to mild the BF community. I still play BF4, have been since May this year. Since then, I have bought Far Cry 4 and Destiny. I just keep going back to BF. This game is just too damn fun to let go. (It also helps that I don’t suck at it)

A proper Strike at Karkand map? Really messed that one up in BF3 by not giving us the last set of flags(CP’s).
