[Updated] First Ghost Recon Future Soldier review breaks embargo

2 min read

So how'd I do?

I’m not aware when the embargo ends for the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier reviews but I am sure that the world exclusive review wasn’t given to a site called [Link removed] who have posted up the first review of Ubisoft’s shooter.

The site isn’t natively in English and the translation software they are using is useless so it’s pretty much impossible to understand what they are saying about the game.

However a score is universal and they’ve given the game a solid 8.5/10 but it did get a 9 for age with the quote

Is perfect and very very real fun doing so based the game on the very exciting story with different styles

Hurts my head just reading it.

So that’s it, I don’t know how much we can read into that score or the review since I’ve never heard of them but I can say that I’m irritated that we still don’t receive review copies early enough as they don’t arrive in SA in time and yet [link removed] gets the game early enough to destroy the review embargo.

[Update: We’ve been in contact with Ubisoft who’ve confirmed that the site in question has never received the game for review purposes. As such, the veracity of this review is in question]
