Gamecrush Beta Requests Crashes Servers In Mere Minutes – So Sad

We recently posted a story about a new website called Gamecrush, that is essentially the gaming equivalent of a chick hotline for lonely gamers.

Not only is it the saddest thing I have ever heard of, it’s also one of those ideas that you wish you came up with first, because you already know that it’s going to do incredibly well.

Well I have a bit of news that is even more sad. It’s sadder than the saddest sad thing an a eye-liner wearing emo could ever shed a tear over.

More info and a bigger version of the overload notification after the jump.

Gamecrush have just moved forward with a public beta, and here comes the scary part. The site was inundated with over 10,000 inquiries in the first 5, yes 5, minutes, to the point that the servers couldn’t handle the load.

This was caused by tens of thousands of gamers who were also incapable of handling their load. It’s going to be very interesting to see what kind of money this website moves, especially at the rates that they are charging.

All hope is lost for us. Abandon ship.
