Honestly I don’t know what ot make of this. David Jaffe recently posted about how absolutely fantastic God of War 3 is looking and how we are going to be absolutely blown away by it at the Spike VGA show later this year.
Well now he has come out and said that the footage that we are going to see at VGA is not actually the truly awesome footage he saw and that we mustn’t be overly worried if it doesn’t completely blow us away.
That’s weird, why come out and prepare us for disappointment? Why don’t they just rather show us the absolutely awesome footage that we all want to see?
It feels like we keep on looking for the killer app for the PS3 but GoW3 may be that app, the game is a classic and it hasn’t even been released yet.

My opinion is that devs should just stfu until the game is upon us. If it’s amazing then why spout about it before hand? We are going to see it anyways.

Spout about it to build hype… and to get you to buy it… and to tell your friends about it in the hopes that they end up buying it, too.
You are going to see it anyways, but that doesn’t necessitate that you will buy it, too.

uhm…so what exactly makes the footage that he saw
any more “amazing” than what will be shown?
