You know what’s one of the best feelings in the world? Having no idea a public holiday is coming up, and then finding out at the last second. Hot damn surprise long weekend everybody… Kthxbye!
First and foremost, rAge is finally hitting the Mother City. Are you going? You should be!
Out of nowhere, Oddworld Inhabitants went ahead and announced Oddworld: Soulstorm. We don’t know too much about it just yet, but it’ll feature the lovable, Mudoken killing/saving oaf, Abe. That’s some pretty damn good news if I do say so myself.
Also announced was something from the creators of Kingdom Rush. Here at Lazygamer, we often yell REINFORCE for no real reason, so as you’d imagine, we’re damn excited to see that Iron Marines, a mobile RTS, is in the works.
Carbine Studios, the team behind the rather excellent MMO, Wildstar, have laid off 40% of their workforce. It’s so sad, because honestly, the game is good and deserves a lot more love from everybody. Going F2P has not helped it seems.
WRASSLING – the sport where the acting is on par with the actual fighting. If you’re a fan of it, bad news, Sting is retiring.
And, yeah. There wasn’t too much bad news this week for a change. Move along!
Did you enjoy the Hunger Games? Then perhaps you should check out ARK: Survival of the Fittest – it’s basically the same thing.
One man. Two Xbox One controllers. Who will win? Spoiler: nobody.
Is Darryn Batman Forever?
Uh… yes. Hopefully Superman can do something about that next week.

Warcraft III is getting patched? WHAT YEAR IS IT?
Also, Justin Timberlake literally crying a river on the CRYENGINE Humble Bundle story is the best thing EVER.
Sheesh, you all doing work this week or something? The most comments landed on Alessandro’s The Division review, with only 64. We implore you to work less, chat more!
Comment of the Week
Only Darryn could pull off something as impossible as breaking two Xbox One controllers via a headset. At least, that’s what we thought, until we read what Warren K Smith had to say…
Dude! I feel you!
I had the same experience with two chat headsets.
It drove me insane! To the point where I bought the full Xbone headphones.
Problem solved… I thought.
I DON’T F*&^#ing think so!
Turns out the headset adapter is the Spawn of Satan and damaged my controllers. BOTH of them.
So after many hours of speaking to three Irishmen at Xbox support (What is up with that? Getting through to Ireland when phoning from SA?) I finally got them to replace ONE controller. Yay for the 1 year warranty!
I picked up the replacement controller at some dodgy store in Edenvale. The store was wedged between a motor dealership and a Sangoma’s practice.
I have never been so nervous to insert on piece of hardware into another…
What if it STILL didn’t work?
What if I had to call Ireland again?
What if Connor or Sean were off that day, and I had to speak to someone new? *(by now I was on first name terms with Xbox support)
Thankfully it worked.
And I was tempted to superglue the chat adapter to the controller for fear of it not working again in a week.
How? Just… how? We will never know, but damn, that story was entertaining.
