Being a self confessed Gears of War fanboy means that I’m always on the look out for new Gears of War news and obviously the announcement of Gears of War: Judgement at E3 was easily one my highlights of the show but the fact that no release date has been announced isn’t making me happy.
But if a listing on shopto.net is to be believed then we have a release window and that window is currently the 8th of February 2013 which is unfortunately still a very long way away.
Retailers are well known for making up release dates in their placeholder pages but an early February release does make sense as Gears of War would likely not want to go head to head with Black Ops 2, GTAV, Assassin’s Creed 3, Far Cry 3 or Warfighter in the peak season at the end of 2012.
I’m interested to see if the market is going to accept a fourth Gears of War title in the trilogy or whether it’s going to be viewed as a cheap cash in when we start hearing more about the game.
