GTA Online

It’s a new month, and what better way to get into the summer spirit than to stay indoors and play some GTA V? GTA Online launches later today. Here’s how you’ll be able to unlock content with not just cash, but with reputation points.

While players will have the option spending real cash in the game, GTA will still have other ways to make some virtual money and buy all those materialistic goodies that you need to fulfill your life. And don’t worry about it unbalancing the game either.

In a Rockstar Newswire post, the publisher shed some more lights on Reputation Points. “The option of purchasable GTA$ should not disrupt the playing field – and there are a few mechanics in place to help ensure that. All players still have to rank up with Reputation Points (RP) in order to get access to purchase high-end items,” Rockstar wrote.

No one can begin GTA Online and simply spend a lot of money out of the gate to get a leg up. You will have to earn your stripes and play to unlock access to the aspirational clothes, guns and other items.

Please also remember that in GTA Online, hustling to afford the finer things by earning GTA$ doing robberies, stick-ups, winning races and other profitable activities is a fun gameplay experience rather than ever being a ‘grind’.

So how does it all work? When it kicks off later today after a title update, remember to select to go into GTA Online from your start menu. From there, players can customise their characters, set up a history to generate their stats and then proceed to unleash hell in Los Santos.

A content creation toolset is also expected sometime later this year. And a big thanks to everyone who has joined the Lazygamer Massive crew already. We’ll see you chaps online tonight.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
