Here’s what you’ll be able to play on your new PlayStation Vita at launch

The PlayStation Vita will launch here – along with the rest of western world – on February 22 next year. It seems Sony isn’t keen to repeat (many of) Nintendo’s mistakes; The 3DS launched earlier this year with just a handful of titles, and is only now starting to ain a bit of momentum thanks to Mario.  Sony, on the other hand, has a secured a phenomenal line-up of launch titles to keep gamers happy.

Here’s what you can expect :

Uncharted: Golden Abyss
WipEout 2048
Reality Fighters
Little Deviants
ModNation Racers: Road Trip
Everybody’s Golf
Escape Plan
Gravity Rush
Hustle Kings
MotorStorm RC
Top Darts
Super StarDust Delta

We’ve confirmed the line-up with the local distributors – and they should all be available locally. What will you be getting? I’m eyeing out Uncharted (of course), Little Deviants and Super Stardust Delta. Keep in mind that these are only the first-party titles that’ll be available – and there should be a fair whack of third-party gaming on offer as well. Even cooler, Sony’s confirmed that buyers will be able to download three free Augmented Reality games from the PSN Store. Want to know what the AR stuff on the Vita will be like?

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
