There’s a new Wolfenstein game coming in the near future from publisher Bethesda and developer MachineGames; itself comprised of a number of former Starbreeze developers. at Gamescom this year, we got to chat to Wolfenstein: The New Order’s creative director Jens Matthies about the game.

It’s a 1960’s alternate-history take on the series where the Nazis won the war, with stalwart hero BJ Blazkowicz set to launch a counter-offensive against the Nazi regime. Maybe, just maybe, we’ll get to say “totsiens,” or more likely, “Auf Wiedersehen ” to Hitler again.

The game will be released when it’s ready, hopefully sometime in 2014.

“It’ll be released when it’s ready” should rather be something like:”It will be released when it’s almost ready and the day 1 patch should do the rest”
