Stranglehold was John Woo’s first foray in to videogames. A sequel to the Hong-Kong Action flick Hard-Boiled, Stranglehold saw the return of Chow Yun-Fat’s “Tequila†as well as the slow-motion “bullet-time†that eventually found it way in to games like “Max Payne,†and films like “the Matrixâ€
Some people thought Stranglehold was the best thing since sliced bread. The more rational among us thought it to be a mindless, but pretty damned fun game – provided you could look past its myriad of flaws. If you’re in the former camp, you might be excited to known that despite being ridiculously busy, John woo is interested in making another game.
Furthermore he’s also confirmed that Stranglehold will be made in to a film – although he won’t be directing – something that’s been swirling in the rumour machine since the game was in development.
