Sindel

Proving that grey hair can still be sexy. While her close up combat combos are decent, its Sindel’s projectile attacks that can quickly cause juggle setups, while her offensive low projectiles can cause quick damage to players who don’t do low blocks too often.

Smoke

And they said smoking was bad for you. Another well rounded character, Smoke has some basic three hit combos which can be boosted with parry moves and quick teleports which can place players in prime damage dealing positions. Throw into the mix his smoke grenade attack, which puts opponents into a juggle position, and you’ve got yet another lethal ninja.

Sonya

How the hell does that top stay on? Quick and deadly, Sonya focuses more on speedy offensive strikes than defense, taking advantage of low attacks and air counters. The majority of her combos can lead to easy pop-ups, while her X-ray attack can be used when finishing off a chain combo for even more amounts of ridiculous damage.

Stryker

What we have here, is an absolute disrespect for the law. Stryker may be lacking when it comes to multiple hit combos, but his quick attacks and incredibly effective special moves more than make up for this. Effective at any range, Stryker can also quickly close in on an opponent, setting them up for more combos and juggles.

Sub-Zero

Some say he is the coolest character in the franchise. Sorry, couldn’t resist. The go to character for any beginner, Sub Zero still plays with an assortment of easy to learn combos and ice attacks, but this time, his specials require a little bit of perfect timing to be useful. His default ice-ball attack is easy to read and block, but his ice-clone technique is what the experts will most likely rely on, as they can easily bait attack happy opponents into position, leaving them open and vulnerable.
