New PixelJunk to be revealed at GDC. Rejoice!

While the debate about multiplatform PS3 game quality continues, and the argument over Xbox Live vs PSN continues, there can be no doubt about which service offers the better downloadable games. while Xbox Live arcade is home to some of the very best downloadable games (Hello Braid and Castle Crashers!), the PSN seems to offer a more varied, interesting scope of games – Like Everyday Shooter, Super Stardust HD, Flower and the soon to be released Fat Princess.

Another shining star in the PSN line-up is the the PixelJunk series of games. Beautiful, simple, addictive and charming are only a few of the superlatives used to describe them. Fans of the series will be happy to know that Dylan Cuthbert of Q-Games will be unveiling a playable version of the fourth PixelJunk game at this year’s GDC.

There are no details on the game as yet – but the prospect of a new PixelJunk has me pretty excited.

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
