I am something of a chicken wing aficionado. I love good Buffalo Wings – I grew up on them and continue to love them to this day. When I first moved to South Africa, it was impossible to find any decent wings, so I’d make my own with Frank’s hot sauce that I’d bring back from the US of A. While I still do so, with wonderful effects, I no longer need to thanks to Rocomamas, who make their own fantastic Buffalo Wings with ranch sauce.
What is it about Buffalo wings that makes them so appealing? I love the heat when it is enough to be experienced without causing any form of discomfort. Combine that with crispy skin, moist meat and cooling, tangy ranch dressing and there is little else I need. Obviously, I still usually end up ordering a burger, too, but there are never enough wings.
