It’s weird how stuff like this happens: a friend of mine and I were moaning about how long the BioShock 2 DLC was taking to arrive on the PC; literally the day after our whinging, this news drops.
The Protector Trials and Minerva’s Den hit the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 a while ago – Geoff liked Minerva’s Den and wrote a review on it here. Now, PC gamers will just have to quietly cry themselves to sleep at night as the DLC won’t be coming to PC.
Elizabeth Tovey is a brave lady and the 2K PR representative. She hopped onto the 2K community forums with the following to say:
“We will also not be offering Protector Trials and Minerva’s Den on the PC in the future – and I want to say that I’m sorry for the disappointment this will cause to PC players out there. As always, if any of these issues change in the future, I will update you guys first, but at this point in time I don’t want to make you wait any longer and these are the most definite answers I have and you guys should deem them final decisions.â€
How depressing; I was really looking forward to one more short frolic in Rapture before we all have to take to the skies in BioShock: Infinite.

Very disappointing. Would have been nice of 2K to give us an explanation – I think we’re owed that. What “technical and timing issues”? I really don’t think this is the way to treat fans of the game.
