No PS3 price cut for PAL areas

So we are not getting a PS3 price cut… but don’t worry it’s not all bad news. Instead of cutting the price so that we can get a cheap Blu-Ray player Sony has decided to bundle more into the package for the same price.

Now instead of getting a PS3 and controller for R6400 you are going to get a PS3, 2 Controllers, Resistance Fall of Man and Motorstorm for R6400.

Now that is a much better deal.

However I still feel we are getting the short end of the stick on this one, Resistance is now 8 months old and Motorstorm is over 4 months old so they are not brand new games are they? The controllers haven’t been confirmed to have rumble yet either.

They always say you mustn’t look a gift horse in the mouth but why couldn’t Sony just do what everyone asked?

Because old games and a cheap plastic controller cost them pennies to produce.

Dang, it would have been better if they gave out vouchers for ANY game for the PS3 available NOW or within the next 3 months. That would have made new buyers happier and actually given them a choice.

I’ll Agree with Jak, does not seem that there is gonna be a price cut any time soon, so this is the best offer that you’ll get. At least its good games that are bundled, not the failures. But how sure are we that this bundle will come to SA? The post’s source is from a European site, and we know how lazy the distributors here are. Are there any confimations?

In defense of Ster Kinekor they don’t really have much say in the matter…

They would love to get the starter pack but until the current stock is sold Sony won’t send new stock… so I guess it is really in the hands of the customers…. Rush out and buy a PS3 now so the next guy can get a good deal… yeah sucks.

OMG!!! You’re kidding me. The News just get worse… I thought it was bad enough that Europe did not get a price cut, but now they dont wanna give us the Start Pack in SA! Now it gets personal!
