Games are rudding expensive these days – so astute gamers are likely to hold out for sales, picking up games to pad out their already extensive backlogs on the cheap. If you’re in European territories (so yes that includes South Africa) there’s a digital sale on the PlayStation Store that’s got some pretty damned good games going for a song – with a further 10% discount for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Highlights include Alienation going for a paltry R189, Journey going for R99 and the unsettling SOMA on sale for R199. Also, Hatoful Boyfriend is just R87, if a Pigeon Dating sim sounds like it may tickle your fancy (Hey Umar!). Don’t stress too much if it’s too far from payday, as these deals will run through to August 4.

There are PS4, Ps3 and Vita games on sale. Here’s a list of the PS4 ones. For everything else, hit up the Totally Digital page on  the PlayStation Store which will show the discounts in your local currency.

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
