Red-Dredd-Redemption

Red Dead Redemption. Three words that may sum up one of the greatest games that Rockstar ever made, an epic western and a tale of revenge told through a six-shooter. It’s a game with equally good sales as well. So where in tarnation is the damn sequel already?

Despite being asked this question every couple of minutes I reckon, developer Rockstar is making no promises about saddling up again for Red Deader Redemption 2: Redeem Harder (You can have that for free Rockstar). “It’s wonderful to see so much excitement and enthusiasm for the Red Dead series, and nearly 5 years after Red Dead Redemption’s release(!),” the GTA developer wrote in the latest Rockstar Newswire Q&A.

As we’ve mentioned when asked in the past about new games in other series such as Red Dead Redemption, Bully and L.A. Noire, we don’t always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won’t get to them eventually. We have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing. We thank longtime fans such as yourselves as always for your amazing support and please stay tuned in 2015 for announcements of what’s to come from Rockstar Games.

With GTA V now having made the successful leap onto current-gen, I’d imagine that Rockstar has enough free hands in order to work on something else that doesn’t include an aging psychopath with anger management issues. I’m also really, really hoping that they don’t announce a Midnight Club sequel next year instead of Red Dredd Redemption: I Yam The Law. Or an inevitable Red Dead Remaster, like half of the industry is doing right now.

I’m so tired of remasted games. For sh*t’s sake.
When it’s something old it works well, but a game that’s two or three years old, heck even five or six, it’s ridiculous. It’s a cash grab, that’s all.

remastered lol, they still run at the same frame rate of 30fps. I am not spending R900 on a game I already have on the 360 just because the animals now have fur. 1080p is overated.

Make it 480p at 60fps and I am in. Or just get Naughty Dog, Kojima or even Bethesda to code it. They are they only companies who are getting 60fps right.

On pc we just get modders to fix it up better, that’s why remasters don’t work so well with us 🙂

If it works it works. 🙂
These modders are probably more passionate about the game than the developer and creator is.

I have been praying for a second instalment. If John Marston isn’t in it, then there is no sense. They should make a prequel to the events of Red Dead Redemption.

Do yourself a favour, go to BT Games NOW and get yourself RDR and RDR The Undead Nightmare. Undead Nightmare was a standalone supplement, much shorter, but also one hell of a blast.

One of the reasons I got my PS3 was for the Uncharted games, but Red Dead Redemption turned out to be a bonus that I enjoyed even more. One of the best games I have ever played.
