Remember, there’s a Rainbow Six Siege beta this week!

Rainbow Six Siege! It’s coming towards the end of this year, bringing you a bit of tactical team-based gameplay in its newly, terribly renamed TerroHunt, and another mode that’s just like Counter Strike. Much to my dismay, they’ve nixed the co-operative campaign, but I’m still excited. I get to be the reckless Leroy Jenkins in a team with some friends while they try their best to secure the hostages and not die in the process, AND keep me alive. It shall be glorious.

And you get to take part, if you’re part of the game’s closed beta, which kicks off this Thursday. What better way to spend heritage day than with a braai and some Terrohunt, right? Anyway, thanks to Ubisoft we’ve got a handful or three of general use, non-platform specific beta codes that can be used to access the beta on PC, PS4 or Xbox One. We’ll be dishing the codes out on Wednesday, so you’ll be able to participate on Thursday. Hooray!

But that’s not all! For one selected winner, we’ll also give away a Rainbow Six hamper, which consists of a beta key, plus the following branded, somewhat exclusive Rainbow Six gear:

  • Cap
  • T-shirt
  • Stickers
  • Patch
  • Keyring

The competition is only open to those within South Africa’s borders. Winners will be selected on Wednesday 23 September.

All you need to do to be eligible is fill in this form.

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
