Report: Next-Gen Xbox Dev Kits Rolling Out Before Christmas 2011

Edge Magazine reports that a reliable source has told them that developers will be getting developer kits for the next generation Xbox console, called the Xbox 720 or Xbox Next by some.

It also looks like we are going to have new shiny consoles to purchase before the end of next year already.

It is being said that Ubisoft teams are currently already working on PCs that are created with custom components that mimic the new consoles and that they will be replaced by proper dev consoles before the end of the year.

It has also been revealed that one of Sony’s major studios is completely done with current-gen development and has already been completely shifted over to development for the next generation of gaming.
