Rumour: Sony Russia revealed Mass Effect 3 via Twitter

Hey! Remember that teaser video that came out last week? It’s that one that hints at a big Bioware reveal at the Spike VGA. People started speculating like crazy! Mass Effect 3? A Mass Effect shooter? A Mass Effect MMO? A new IP from Bioware? Mass Effect meets Crysis?

According to a tweet, it’s totally Mass Effect 3. That’s what some anonymous rep using the official SCEE Russia Twitter account has tweeted at least. That update has since vanished, but we all know that the Internet, being the old cantankerous bitch that it is, never forgets.

The above tweet translates to this: “Company #BioWare Award for #VideoGameAwards showed a teaser, in which we can see the first footage #MassEffect 3”. Somebody in SCEE Russia just lost their job.

On the one hand, if this is true, then it’s a very boring “reveal” for a hugely anticipated game. On the other hand, if it’s false, then we can at least be happy that a new Bioware IP or Mass Effect spin-off hasn’t been ruled out just yet. And then, on the third hand, if it’s true then, you know, Mass Effect 3 – yay!

I don’t believe this is Mass Effect 3. Ever heard of propaganda? Even if this is Mass Effect 3, that person with the rifle looks nothing like sheperd or any other character in the Mass Effect game. It doesn’t even look like that prick Conrad Verner. If this was Mass Effect 3, why the hell would they not put the default sheperd in the pic? Keep your teasers and leaks for those that actually fall for this nonsense. I on the other hand will wait for something more convincing to be “leaked”.
