Ever since Sony cut the price of the PS3 we have been hearing reports about them selling really well.
Now after the first US sales data is releaesed it is obvious that the price cut has revitalised the PS3 sales pushing it above the Xbox 360 for the week. Nothing has been able to stop the Wii jugernaut yet but at least it’s an improvement.
Wii – 76,394 – 3,717,046
PS3 – 41,005 – 1,624,358
Xbox 360 – 35,084 – 6,537,592
In the software sales the 360 is still the champ which is good news for Microsoft at least.
Xbox 360 – 333,637
Wii -Â 314,730
PS3 -Â 172,692
So is this an anomoly or the new norm after the price cut. Personally I expect the PS3 to keep beating the 360 until Microsoft decides to cut the price and then the 360 will once again take the second spot… Nothing is going to stop the Wii until after christmas at least

With their rubbish E3 showing, the cancellation of their treasured X07 event and the quieting of their mouth-piece, xbots need all the good news they can get. Oh yeah, plus no new games have been announced for the 360 since last year…excluding that Viva Piñata thing of course.

Um not sure what your comment has to do with the story but the 360 has a very impressive games line up for this year.
