Sony wants to sell 5 million PS4 consoles by next year

PS3.Just like my testicles

Why sell a billion, when we could sell…six million?

Speaking at their Tokyo Game Show press conference today, Sony President Andrew House said that the current plan was to have  5 million PlayStation 4 consoles sold by the end of the fiscal year according to VG247. Which is March 2014.

That’s a tight window. With the PS4 launching in November, they’d have to push to get close to a million units sold every month. Back in 2007, Sony had higher targets in their line of sight, aiming to sell 6 million PS3 consoles. They only managed to move 3.6 million consoles though.

I’ve got a feeling that they might be more successful this year though. Even if the console does cost around 6300 Randelas, locally.

Don’t know if I shared this link or not yet. Basically it’s a database of all codes and new ones get added automatically. You can even mark those that you have used so that you don’t type in the same on twice.

Not sure they will reach that, but good luck! I think there are many people like myself who will wait till next year to purchase next gen.

Well I hope it makes it to PC then , I believe games should be released on all platforms and then let the gamer decide.

I did the maff myself, I can confirm that both PS4 and GTA V are awesome, hence Sales Powa will be over 9000!

        PS4 + GTA V * 9000 = 13 meeelion.

They sold less because PS3 was expensive, released months after Xbox. This is a realistic target. They will sell more than that, which is good for them. 7/10 people in SA will buy a PS4 instead of Xbox in my opinion.
