While we’re all about financial reports at the moment, we may as well tell you something you already know; Activision-blizzard is making a staggering amount of money. In its most recent report, the company has said it’s pulled in  $4.85 billion dollars in net revenue in 2012. That’s R 43,370,640,000

The ever-increasing realm of Digital sales netted the company 32 percent of that total, making them $1.54 billion. Right, so that’s income…what about profit?

After taking development costs, distribution and marketing and all the other expenses in to account, Activision made $1.14 billion in pure profit for the year. that’s R 10,163,670,000.

"Activision Blizzard delivered the best performance in its history," CEO Bobby Kotick said in the financial statement. "In the short-term, we expect to continue delivering strong profitability, but below our record setting 2012 performance, due to a challenged global economy, the ongoing console transition and a difficult year-over-year comparison because of Blizzard’s record-shattering Diablo 3 success in 2012."

Other than Diablo (which has 12 million copies sold), Activision Blizzard would like to thank you for spending your money on  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 2 and of course, it’s new moneymaking franchise Skylanders  – which now sits with  $1 billion in lifetime sales.

Also…Activision’s announced that there’ll be a new Call of Duty this year. We didn’t think it was worth posting, because that would like announcing that water is wet, the sky is blue, and that Darryn won’t get laid.
