Considering that It’s out in just two weeks, Murdered: Souls suspect is rather low on many gamers’ radars. that changed a little with last week’s 101 trailer, which showed some of the supernatural thriller’s story. If you’re still on the fence, here’s the entire first 25 minutes of the thing, courtesy of YouTuber theRadBrad.
Since the game is rather story-oriented, you may want to steer clear in case of spoilers, but if you’ve yet to make your mind up, this could well do it.
I’m…actually kind of keen for the game. It seems like a bit of a paranormal L.A Noire, with a dash of cinematic, dialogue-heavy and cut-scene laden games like Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls blended in for good measure. As I said before, I love that it’s not focused on just shooting things and that the investigative bit of it comes in to play. Plus, it really just seems different.
In it, you play a detective, Ronan O’Connor, who’s brutally slain by a sadistic killer. He returns as a ghost, who will not rest until he solves his own murder. While he’s trying to solve the case of the infamous Bell Killer, he’s also busy fending off nasty demons that are keen to have a bit of a munch on his soul. He’s helped a young girl named Joy who can not only see, but also communicate with the dead. She may or may not be played by Whoopi Goldberg.

Hope it’s not as boring as LA Noire.

Looking at the grouping I’d say the killers gun pulls up towards the left.

I don’t know I didn’t do it, but if I had and used a big spike i reckon I could get a similar result.

Still a tightly controlled experience. Not much more here than the play-through at E3 or Gamescom last year.
Think it looks excellent, the story appears to be solid, I’m just worried that the devs don’t give the player any freedom and try to control the action to tightly through the narrative.
I am going to wait till I see some later gameplay, and I pre-ordered Watch_Dogs 🙂
