The good, the bad and the ugly of the last week

Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the current world champion of weekly round-ups. He savaged the daily destroyer, made the biweekly behemoth tap out and is the very reason why the monthly mauler had to quit the industry. I give you, The Good, the bad and the ugly of the last week! Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeets get ready to ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumble!

Best Story

I hate this month. I hate it almost as much as I hate peas. And Geoff when he posts his speedtest results. And that’s due to the fact that there are too many great games coming out, and not enough cash to go around on my side. I’m stuck between a Gears of War and a Bioshock Infinite right now for my one game a month rule, and holy heck, I think Geoff may have finally converted me with his rapturous take on the upcoming Bioshock Infinite.

Also, how could anyone say no to those eyes?

Worst Story

If there’s one franchise that I don’t want to see die just yet, it’s Dead Space. Strip away all the guff about micro-transactions and EA being a general pain in the ass with this promising franchise, and you’ve still got a rather solid and promising future for this Visceral Games developed series. Or you might not, as EA has decided to can Dead Space, because it wasn’t successful enough in this day and age of bloated mega-games. Or maybe it’s not, and Peter Moore wants to dance on your grave.

Whatever is happening though, Dead Space is caught in the middle of it. And I don’t like it.

I think we can all agree that Lorena Morena is our page three stunner of the week. Mostly because you’re all so busy focusing on a random drop of water, you naughty boys you.

Geoff wins again, because nothing brings out comments, like a chance to have a hardware based pissing contest. And just so you all know, I’m running a PC with a VooDoo 2000 graphics accelerator, because it quite literally is bigger than anything you’ve all got. Nyah!

Least Comments

Even though I’m winning nothing this week, it gives me so much joy, just to see Gavin get least comments this week. Army of Two, the brotastic shooter from EA has a demo coming out soon, but that news was about as loved as a ginger step-child.

Geoff. Dammit, Geoff gets Batman of the week, beating me in the slimmest of margins. So congrats folks. He’s the writer that you deserve, but not the one that you need. HE DOESN’T EVEN OWN A CAPE!

Well what the hell else is Isaac supposed to do now? Congrats Geoff, I need to step up my game for next week to reclaim this spot.

Lara Croft has amazing hair. Provided that you’re playing the game on a PC capable of showing off those flowing locks. Which led to the following comment from PsiCoRe, which had old men like Geoff and Gavin chuckling away, while I scratched my young scalp in confusion. Or it might be dandruff.

Sometimes you need a little FX, Sometimes you need a lot

Oh, now I get it!

Was indeed a sterling week chaps. Good, fine entertainment mixed with a little love, a little emotion, and a little blood.
