The good, the bad and the ugly of the last week – 30 August 2013

2 min read

Meh, it’s Friday and I don’t feel like writing exposition. So just like, click the link or something. No biggie.

Best Story

Oh Japan. You so crazy. So, so freakin’ crazy. We saw that first-hand this week with a video called Japan World Cup 3, which features horse races that were programmed while on LSD. But for Japan, this was merely Tuesday.

Worst Story

After all the hype its built, I kinda feel like a sucker after waiting patiently for that new GTA V video that debuted yesterday. It’s short, shows nothing that we haven’t already seen yet and compared to previous announcements, feels like a cheap way to combat leaked footage.

Poor form Rockstar, poor form.

Best ION Header

I don’t care if she happens to have a big head. Natalia Siwiec is easily our ION of the week.

Most Comments

What happens when you mix Battlefield and talk graphics? You get a post that easily nets Geoff the win this week, with a 185 comment beast that may have to ship in a lower texture or two so that it can perform juuuuuuuuust right.

Least Comments

Sorry Zoe, a mere four comments on your nature post about the wildlife of Lost Planet 3 means you lose this week. Richard Attenborough, you ain’t!

Ben Affleck Of The Week

The Dark Knight Rises

Thanks to Gavin constantly messing up the Ben Affleck chart this morning, I’ve managed to emerge this week as the one true Daredevil of the week. Suck it everyone else.

Best Header Image Of The Week

Timster 1033 wins this week, for improving on Geoff’s already magnificently lacist header of Gavin, when the chaps wrapped up Gamescom with drinks and wants.

Comment Of The Week

We missed you OVG, and your particular brand of…insight. Welcome back.

I will take the game with the Asian dude at the top with his eyes closed. Quantum Gamer True Crime SA. The graphics look sick but a pity they have no TressFX chip and just went for the generic low polygon head 😛
