The numbers of the Steam Summer Sale

massive numbers

The Steam Summer Sale is finally over, and it looks like most of you will be playing games by candlelight until payday. There were plenty of bargains to be had with that annual event, and as usual, everyone won. So how well did that sale really do?

Seeing as how I’m mathematically-challenged, feast your eyes on this diagram instead. Which has numbers…and stuff.

So how many games did you buy over that glorious week of discounted digital deals? And will you be feasting on wet dog food tonight?

P.S I found this image on the wild frontier of the net. If anyone has a link to the original, please post it below so that I can do some attributing.

Haha, naa don’t think so, think it will be a short anime I don’t see it ending up as a long runner especially with that type of pacing, the anime is so hardcore and fast paced I doubt they can keep it up for 100’s of episodes. that said , I’m loving, anime of 2013 followed by the new Hunter X Hunter

the manga is up to chapter 47.
where its heading atm, theyve left it quite open, they could head for a 200 chapter finish or a 75 chapter finish (which is where they will probably go with it).

Really??wow!! I didn’t see it going that far, but 75 is okay , will be a beelzebub amount of episodes, am Fine with that as long as the Anime itself finishes the same way as the manga, if it becomes a 26 ep anime and have to cram … RAGE!!!!!!

          doing everything is unrealistic.
Im got both my commando and siren up to 61, with all the gear you could imagine, playing on and off since the release date.
so if i have to hear claptraps voice one more time, ill shoot him/myself.

cant even imagine getting all 6 characters up to 61.
nevermind the new dlc that will let you go to 72.

I did extremely well I thought:
Tomb Raider (2013); Sleeping Dogs; Hitman Absolution – all AAA, all -75%
and Football Manager 2013 + XCOM also at -75%. 5 games for an average of $8.99 (about 96 Randelas on average according to paypal and my bank account)

About a quarter of the way through TR; have hardly touched the others. Assuming the family gets well soon, and work calms down I figure that’ll keep me busy till way past the Steam Christmas sale. If those two caveats don’t work out – then I’ll be busy till the next Summer sale … 😉

Serious Sam 3 is brilliant if you like the old school serious sam games. I got over 200 hours in so far.Its basically the same as the previous 2 with bigger monsters more 1 liners and very nice graphics engine.

I only play it on linux as well it runs like a beast with my ti660

I didn’t actually splash out tooooo much this time around. I did score that Tomb Raider special though, & picked the whole lot up for under R200. I also got a copy of the DCS Black Shark flight sim for a friend, the Krieg dlc for BL2, the HL2 DLCs, and the BL1 GotY pack. There were one or two others I was tempted to get – AC3 for example – but managed to keep the credit card safely in my pants for a change.

The only problem I have with Steam sales is that you tend to end up buying far more games than you ever have chance to actually download and play. I mean, I’ve got something like 94 titles in my library, but if I’ve played more than 15 it’s a lot…..
