The Wolf will be Among Us beginning of February

Bigsby and woodsman

I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode of The Wolf Among Us from Telltale Games. I’m not ashamed to admit it – I’m developing quite a crush on Bigby Wolf. After a long wait between episodes, Telltale has announced that the wolf is coming.

In a post on the Telltale Games forums, they announced that episode two of The Wolf Among Us will be released during the first week of February. It does make me curious, though:

Ep 2 should be available the first week of February. We are working hard with all of our partners (Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Apple) to coordinate everything, but we’re confident enough to announce that here. The episode is looking really good (as is the rest of the season!). We are very concerned about the long delay for this episode, but this is one of those occasions where several things conspired against us (not to mention the additional delays due to the holidays). I won’t dive into the details, but it’s been an unusual and specific set of circumstances and we do not anticipate it happening again as we go forward with the rest of the season.

What conspired against them? What caused the delay? Could it be all the new games that they’re signing on to develop – is the workload simply too heavy for the studio’s current capacity? The first episode was released about three months ago; this is a pretty long wait time between episodes for Telltale. Whatever the cause of the delay, I’m happy to hear that the next episode is coming soon. Telltale even took to twitter to give us some new screenshots from episode two.

The Wolf Among Us is a different beast to The Walking Dead, yet they are both thoroughly enjoyable to fans to interactive storytelling. Have you picked up the Season Pass, or are you waiting for more episodes to be released?
