I, like many of you, am suffering from Assassin’s Creed fatigue – so I have very little interest in playing through Assassin’s Creed Syndicate; which takes the series to Victorian London. And now though, I’m going to have to play the game. Not for its main content, but rather for its DLC.
It hurts me to even say that, as much as I despise season passes – but Ubisoft’s just confirmed some of the Season Pass content is centred around the infamous Jack The Ripper.
What I’ve always loved about Assassin’s Creed is it digital historical tourism, which I’ve appreciated far more than most of the core game content. Couple that with my own macabre fascination with Jack The Ripper, and you’ve got me convinced to jump back in to Assassin’s Creed – a series I’d sworn off of after 3. What makes it even more intriguing is that it seems you play as the ripper, rather than as somebody trying to track him down.
What I don’t appreciate though, is showing off extra content well before a game is out, and the whole pre-order culture that reaches maximum stupidity when it comes to Season Passes and the pre-purchasing of DLC – but that’s a discussion for another day.

So the game is not even out but the DLC is ready so then why don’t include it with the game ohhh wait because Ubisoft is a bunch of greedy bastards, saddest thing is I will probably pick this game up:(
