Uncharted 3 confirmed to require an online pass as well

This is likely to be the last time we post up about upcoming titles requiring an online pass to play as it’s now become pretty much standard for all major titles to require an online pass.

During an interview with the vault Juan Jimenez, Software Manager at Sony, confirmed that Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception will be shipped with a code that you’ll need to enter to play online.

Obviously this code is a one time thing and then if you sell your game afterwards the new owner will need to buy a new online pass via the PSN shop.

I’ve never been against this idea to be honest and while there is no really valid reason for the pass I don’t mind the developers making some money from second hand sales in this way and hopefully it also helps deter pirates though I’ve long since lost any faith in that section of society.

[Thanks Brian for the tip]
