The Uncharted series of games have always been light-hearted adventured peppered with moments of solemnity. If industry “insider” Tidux is to be believed, the next chapter in the series is going to be the reverse; a substantially darker game flecked with levity.

Of course, none of this is surprising stuff at all; it’s actually par for the course and what you’d expect from a new Uncharted. that said, it is likely the game will take on an overall darker tone.
The creative force behind the first 3 games, Amy Hennig departed from Naughty Dog under obfuscated circumstances. A wave of other employees followed suit, leaving the series in the hands on Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley – the very same chaps who made the decidedly dark The Last of Us.
We actually know very, very little about the new Uncharted, and there’s even confusion of whether or not it will even feature Nathan Drake. Some rumours suggest it goes in to the past – examining his namesake, Sir Francis Drake. Either way, we’ll likely get to see for ourselves next month, where the game will most probably be a highlight of Sony’s conference.

Sigh, and so begins the Druckmanization and ruination of Uncharted. Darkness has its place absolutely, LOU was great. But that place is not in Uncharted. Druckman wanted Elena to die at the end of U2, wtf. Days go by and I care less and less for this game, in a series I so far adore.
Golden Abyss the last good actual Uncharted? Prove me wrong Naughty Dog, please prove me wrong.
