Telkom Business extends a hand to SMEs
The small and medium size enterprises (SME) sector is widely regarded as being the largest creator of jobs within economies. If South Africa is to reach the goal of creating 5 million new jobs by the year 2020, SMEs need to be a focus point.
Telkom is committed to doing its bit to provide for the sector by supplying next generation technology. Furthermore, in support of SMEs, Telkom Business is running a competition with prizes valued at R750,000. At the heart of the competition is the teleco’s desire to create a lasting partnership with small and medium size organisations.
The competition, ideally suited to SMEs who have big, bold dreams for their business in 2013, will see Telkom give away five prizes valued at R150,000 each to five lucky business winners. To win, businesses need to sign up, or upgrade or renew their calling plan (BizTalk) or Internet Package (TBiz) before 15 February 2013. This will give them an automatic entry to win the prize, which is an ICT and Business makeover from a business coach.
Winning businesses will be coached on how best to spend the prize. Prize elements are as versatile as they are interesting, and include ICT equipment such as laptops, phones, tablets, etc. ICT tools such as website design software, and even office furniture, are on the list.
