A visitor over at Gametrailers.com has put together their list of the worst voice acting moments in videogame history.

Gaming is only now starting to really shine in the voice department and it serves us well to take a trip down memory lane to remember the garbage that we have put up with.

Honourable mention goes to Devil May Cry 4 for making it onto the list as well even though it was only released in 2008

Most notable for me, was the first Resident Evil. the voice acting in that game was AWFUL.

    “What? What IS IT?”

“Jill, why don’t you, the master of unlocking, take this lock pick.”

    *ugh*

Then you guys must remember Enchanted Arms, That is the worst voice acting i’ve ever heard. Every sentance felt like it didnt have a fullstop. And it will be like. The voice acting didnt act on one. ts like the guy only though random tones in to get it finnished

    character1:”How are you doing?!”
    Character1:”I AM FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

    Vader spaar my!

FFX’s voice acting was ok, I think Tidus’s annoying man/girl voice killed it for me. But like Wolfy said, the opening 30 mins of FFX left my jaw somewhere on the floor so I didn’t notice any badness till I played through it a second time

i had the specail edition FFX and on the bonus disc they interviewed the voices behind the characters. and i always find funny about these guys is , that when they explain when hey begin with they’re easy job they try to “sync” with the character and “become the character” and feel the “feel the characters emotions at that certain point”. Things that let you stare at the tv in a blank stare and think…. Its just voice acting . Not a religion

Still dont know why Tidus still didnt go for Lulu. I choose that big breasted bimbo anyday over that little virgin mary Yuna

    Perfect Dark 64

Johanna (serious): Mr. President, you’re in danger! Trent is trying to kidnap you!

President (smugly): You can’t make accusations like that without EVIDENCE, i ASHUME that you have some?

A lot of times i killed him as soon as he said that.
