I’m a slow worker. Not because I’m bone-idle (Well, mostly not that because of that), but usually because I get distracted by quick-fire games that I can jam, such as Plants vs Zombies. The PopCap game has proven to be a big hit for the developer and publisher, being released on all possible platforms so far. Which meant that a sequel was inevitable. And dated. Details after the jump.
PopCap has issued a press release, confirming that the sequel will be out in time for spring in 2013, most likely the first half of the new year then. The oress release read as follows, regarding the announcement, from an “unidentified spokesperson”:
Spring is
crullestcurlieungood time, and plantz grow dull roots. So, we are meating you for brainz at yore house. No worry toskeduleschedlue plan… we’re freee anytime. We’ll find you!
Sonny F. Lower, a “representative of the Flora Forever Foundation”, added:
There was a time we relished a bracing, hearty blend of zombies, in the morning. But first, a brisk shower and some strategic pruning are required. Tomorrow is near!
Things are looking up for PopCap. Well, those employees who still have a job at least, as the company is facing massive lay-offs at the moment. The announcement comes just hours after rumours of imminent lay-offs at developer PopCap. Still, I can’t wait to see which dead celebrity gets the zombie treatment, before a lawsuit prompts Popcap to swop out said zombie for a replacement.
