If you’re one of the lucky few who have access to the Overwatch beta, you’ve know doubt noticed that two of its heroes, Bastion and Torbjörn are just a teeny bit overpowered. Thankfully, they’ve now both been nerfed in the shooter’s latest update.

Riot really are kicking off the year with style. They've released a new champion, overhauled another, and now they've patched League of Legends up to 6.1. It comes with the usual changes, but also a brand new Champion Select.

Every two weeks or so, Riot release a patch, which most of the time, consists of some pretty significant changes for the MOBA. Truth is though, that even they need a break. Before they rush off to enjoy the festive season however, they’ve left one final gift – patch 5.24, which just so happens to come packed with some Snowdown 2015 cheer.

With The League of Legends 2015 World Championship series done and dusted, Riot have free reign over their game once more, and they’re prepping for 2016. Sure, they’ve done some minor changes over the past few weeks already with the likes of patch 5.19 through to 5.21, but 5.22 is now here, and it’s bringing with it a host of preseason changes to Summoner’s Rift.

Patch 5.21 for League of Legends is out! Due to the League of Legends 2015 World Championship series still taking place, the changes aren't too significant. Still, there are some pretty important balances that have been implemented by Riot.

The League of Legends 2015 World Championship series, which starts tomorrow as a matter of fact, will be played on patch 5.18. This doesn’t mean that Riot Games will sit back however, letting the tournament play out before they resume balancing and such on their MOBA. No, the company don’t know the meaning of “taking a break”, because they’ve just released patch 5.19 for everybody else not taking part in the annual eSports spectacle.

The 2015 World Championship series is right around the corner. In just two weeks, the best teams from around the world will get together to kick off the annual League of Legends eSports spectacle, all with the hope of walking away with the grand prize of a cool $1,000,000. The stage needs to be perfect, and Riot have been tinkering hard with their MOBA over the past few weeks to make sure that is the case. Their final balancing act is now complete, as their final update before the tournament, patch 5.18, has just landed.
